exceptional style, quality, color, class and charisma-and he does not carry the defective HYPP gene, and
therefor cannot pass it along to his get.  His HYPP N/N status, and pedigree of proven Halter royalty provides
The Secret Pardon with many positive attributes, created with a solid foundation of proven Appaloosa

THE SECRET PARDON, aka "Diesel" is a distinctive HYPP N/N, Appaloosa stallion. With his striking, vividly colored
Appaloosa coat pattern, a proven show record at the National level, as a 5-X National Champion Halter Stallion,
Res. World Champion Halter Stallion, National Reserve Grand Champion Stallion, (as a yearling), and a one of a kind
pedigree of Halter Royalty, The Secret Pardon has many positive attributes to pass to his offspring, which may
make him worth considering for your mares.

Adding to The Secret Pardon's desirability as an Appaloosa Sire is his HYPP N/N genetic status, now becoming a
highly sought after genetic attribute informed breeders often seek to alleviate any chance of the defective gene
for HYPP being passed along to their foals. The Secret Pardon is one of a limited number of National and World
Champion Halter Stallions who are HYPP N/N, and therefor cannot pass the gene along.

THE SECRET PARDON is an Appaloosa Breeders Trust stallion for 2013, 2014 and 2015.

The Secret Pardon is a producer of color, point earners, class winners, Grand Champions and Regional Futurity
Champions and Reserves.  The Secret Pardon is one of a limited number of National and World Champion Halter
Stallions who are HYPP N/N. THE SECRET PARDON is an Appaloosa Breeders Trust stallion for 2013, 2014 & 2015.
We are pleased to be able to offer THE SECRET PARDON, an HYPP N/N, Appaloosa stallion of quality for
consideration as the stallion of your choice to breed to-for many of the reasons, not the least of which is knowing
that as an HYPP N/N stallion there is no chance of the HYPP defective gene being carried to your foal from him.

The cost to purchase the frozen semen of The Secret Pardon, which is for 2 straw doses, as determined by our SBS
affiliate in the USA, to be used for two cycles, with one to be used to inseminate the mare during ovulation as confirmed
by ultrasound, and the second straw dose to be used if the mare did not become pregnant following the first
insemination with frozen semen during the first monitored ovulation, as confirmed via the use of ultrasound technology.

Mare owners are responsible for following the insemination procedure as recommended by our SBS Affiliates who
collected and froze The Secret Pardon.

Mare owners are required to work with a qualified facility which uses ultrasound to accurately determine when a mare
is ovulating, so the frozen semen is used during the most optimal time of obtaining a pregnancy, which is either to use
the entire dose at ovulation, or to split the straw dose and use half and then the other half 6 hours post ovulation.

We request that ultrasound imaging, in still or video format, be saved and sent to us following the use of the frozen
semen, should a problem occur.

Mare owners on a global level can also breed to The Secret Pardon, via SBS affiliates using Certified Frozen Semen, which
is stored at Peterson & Smith Equine Reproduction, our USA SBS affiliate.

Please see the SBS web site and the information about breeding with Frozen Semen, Presently, The Secret Pardon's
Certified Frozen Semen is stored with an SBS Affiliate in the USA where it is to be handled and dispensed by the experts
in the field of Frozen Equine Semen, as determined by SBS, and approved by Laurie Rylander, stallion owner.

We retain the right to not sell frozen semen for use in mares who have been proven not to be good candidates for
becoming pregnant, including mares over the age of 17 years.

Contact Laurie Rylander via  email, or by phone at 508-896-6021, for additional information about The Secret Pardon's
frozen semen, for frozen semen purchase contracts, and for procedural protocols for using Frozen Semen, stored at an SBS

We strongly urge all who are considering the use of Frozen Equine Semen to learn all they can about what they are
considering purchasing, how it is tested, frozen and correctly used, which is vastly different from methods used to
inseminate with Cooled Semen. The SBS (Select Breeders Service) web site has a wealth of information on the topic in
their online Library which is well worth reviewing.

After much thought, with the hopes of making breeding to top Appaloosa stallions more affordable, we have
lowered The Secret Pardon's 2015 Stud Fee to $950. "Diesel" stands at Char-O-Lot Ranch where cooled semen is
collected and shipped under the expert, capable guidance of Sue Schembri, Stallion/Breeding Manager of
Char-O-Lot Ranch, which Sue and her family have owned for more than three decades.

Sue can answer any questions you have about the breakdown of how the $950 stud fee works, from the $350.
chute fee paid to Charolot Ranch with the
Mare owners with a veterinarian experienced at breeding via AI should culture the mare first to be sure she is
free of contagions and ready to be bred. The veterinarian may  make a few trips to check the status of the mare
and the size of the follicle to determine when she is ready to breed. Most breeders find that breeding via AI with
the use of ultrasound technology to measure the follicle, and to check for a pregnancy at 15 to 18 days post
insemination, actually saves time and money, with more pregnancies obtained than using a less accurate
methods, such as only palpation to determine when the mare is ready to be bred. Cooled shipped semen has
proven to be a reliable method of obtaining viable pregnancies when used at the most optimal time.

Owners with mares also have the option of having their mares bred to The Secret Pardon via AI at Charolot Ranch
under the expert guidance of Sue Schembri, so "problem" mares have a greater chance of becoming pregnant,
should some mares require more than average care to get in foal.  Char-O-Lot Ranch provides the useful service
of breeding mares at their farm using AI, and decades of hand-on experience, with on-farm ultrasound, prompt
results to blood work if needed, monitoring of progesterone, other hormonal levels, and of evidence of
contagions. Mares are able to be checked in foal via ultrasound at 15 to 18 days.

With mares cultured, and treated until they are clean, even problem mares can be under optimal conditions to
become pregnant, and hold the pregnancy until re-confirmed at 45 days.  This can be especially productive choice
for mares who may require constant monitoring, via blood tests and ultrasound, prior to and after breeding and is
one of the many services Char-O-Lot Ranch offers to mare owners and those interested in Appaloosa show
horses.  To book a breeding to The Secret Pardon contact

This elegant, colored ApHC 2014 filly sired by The Secret Pardon, is out of the PHBA mare, JMK

such a fabulous showing at the ApHC World Championships this filly was sold to her new owner
before the rigs were loaded for home. Watch for NO MORE SECRETS and SEAN SCHEMBRI, as they
hit the many regional circuits, and are sure to be showing near you! With such an elegant, well

As we have since 1979, at Sweetwater Farms we to strive to remain dedicated to breeding quality Appaloosa Horses
with Color, Talent, Class, Charisma, and with Physical Correctness and Genetic Soundness.

Sweetwater Farms is owned by Jamie & Laurie Rylander, also owners of The Secret Pardon, a rare HYPP N/N, 5 X
National Champion & Reserve World Champion Halter stallion, now siring winning, colored foals via Cooled Shipped
Semen. Frozen Shipped Semen is available for those outside the USA.

At Sweetwater Farms, we personally believe breeding for HYPP N/N horses should be a high priority among
responsible, informed breeders-and it is with us.  Selectively breeding for HYPP negative horses is the only known
method proven to eradicate HYPP from all breeds known to be affected by it-Quarter Horses, Paints,Appaloosas and
most North American Color Breeds-and all breeds out-crossed on AQHA horses known to have the stallion,
Impressive in their pedigrees.

The Appaloosas we offer for sale include horses suited for a variety of events, and skill levels of riders. Show
prospects for sale often include well bred performance horses suited, which when brought along in the right hands
can become the ever elusive, high caliber All 'rounder, something the Appaloosa in particular is especially suited for.
Broodmares in foal to The Secret Pardon are occasionally offered for sale.

You are cordially invited to visit Sweetwater Farms by appointment, and with our web site currently under

Adding to the obvious desirability of THE SECRET PARDON as a breeding stallion is his HYPP N/N status.

Although some make light of horses who carry the HYPP gene, some successful breeders and winning
competitors take the life-long detrimental and potentially lethal effects HYPP has on horses seriously and
have been purposefully seeking to breed to stallions  free of the defective HYPP gene.

Many progressive Halter Breeders, with the backing of the Equine Veterinary Community, are currently
committed to seeking HYPP N/N stallions to use for breeding, since the only known method of eradicating
the HYPP gene from horses is by breeding the faulty gene, identified as the cause what we refer to as
HYPP, out of all horses naturally-and effectively.

The responsible pairing of mares and stallions which are most likely to produce offspring who will not, or
preferably cannot, produce offspring which possess the dominant HYPP gene, is the only known method
proven to be effective for permanently eradicating the HYPP gene in all breeds known to have horses
which possess, &/or are affected by HYPP, including the Appaloosa.

THE SECRET PARDON is among an elite, small group of mares & stallions who are HYPP N/N, yet who have
also won National &/or World Championships while competing against halter horses which are HYPP N/H
and known to carry a different type of muscle, appearing to be stronger and larger than most horses
naturally carry, even when on a stringent work schedule.

Because "Diesel" does not possess the HYPP gene he cannot pass along the gene for HYPP along to his foals.

In 2013 to help give back to our breeders, a $7,500 Added Cash Breeding Incentive for foals sired by The
Secret Pardon, resulting from 2013 breedings purchased at the posted fee of $1,000. Payouts were $5,000.

2014 Weanling Reserve World Champion.

Although competitors came close in 2014, with Res. World Championships & a tight run for third, which
could have gone anyway, in an a class with a roster of weanling fillies full of elegance & class.  However,
because no eligible foals earned the Cash Payouts from The Secret Pardon's $7,500 Added Cash Breeding
Incentive as Weanlings at the 2014 World Championships, after much thought, & pending concurring or
other opinions from the owners of these yearlings & mares when bred in 2013, at this point I plan to revise
