Since 1979, at Sweetwater Farms, in Brewster, on Cape Cod Massachusetts, the vision/mission of
owner Laurie Rylander and her husband, James has been to breed Quality Appaloosas with  Class,
Correctness
Color, Genetic and Physical soundness.  At Sweetwater Farms Laurie Rylander continues
striving to
breed Quality Appaloosas with Correct conformation, Class, Color & Charisma-with
Physical & Genetic Soundness a priority, as has been done at Sweetwater since
1979, with much less technology.
The Secret Pardon is a vividly marked Appaloosa
stallion with the spotted coat pattern Appaloosa breeders desire, and is a Multiple
National Champion Halter Stallion, while also being HYPP N/N, a rare highly sought
after genetic attribute few World & National Halter horses possess. The Secret
Pardon is owned by Laurie Rylander and stands at stud with cooled semen shipped
in the USA. Frozen Semen is available for export. Sweetwater Farms, is located in
Brewster, Cape Cod, MA.
James and Laurie Rylander co-own Sweetwater Farms, and are the owners of  several Appaloosas,
including the colorful Stallion, The Secret Pardon, HYPP N/N & a reining bred grandson of Breezin'
Bull sired by a son of Great Pine, an NRHA Champion.  The Secret Pardon is a modern, 2008, HYPP
N/N, Appaloosa stallion, also a Multiple National Champion Halter Stallion is part of helping to
achieve the goals we strive to
remain dedicated to helping the Appaloosa gene pool, by
breeding for Quality Appaloosa Horses, with Talent, Color, Charisma, Class, and
Physical and Genetic Soundness.

Appaloosa Horses are for sale, from show horses suited for Halter, Pleasure,
Reining, Trail, Western Riding, All 'rounders, in ages ranging from prospects to
seasoned veterans of the show arena. Broodmares in foal to The Secret Pardon are
also occasionally for sale at Sweetwater Farms, Cape Cod.
Since 1979 at Sweetwater Farms our
vision/mission has been to breed competitive
Quality Appaloosas with Class, Correctness,
Color, Genetic and Physical soundness.

Breeders of Quality Appaloosa Horses since 1979
Sire: The Secret, ApHC, Colored HYPP N/N,
Appaloosa Stallion
Multiple World & National Champion Sire
Lifetime Production Achievement Recipient
Leading Sire of Halter Champions
ATTRIBUTES
THE SECRET PARDON, HYPP N/N, 2008 Appaloosa Stallion, Breeder's Trust Stallion
3-X Medallion Earner, 5-X National Champion, Res. World Champion & National Reserve
Grand Champion Stallion
Sire of Color & Regional Halter Futurity Champions & Reserve Champion (Fillies & Colts),
Point Earners, Class Winners, Grand Champions & Reserve Grand Champions, World
Qualifiers 2013, 2014 & 2015, Reserve World Champion Weanling Filly 2014)
2015 Stud Fee: $950.00

THE SECRET PARDON meets the strict criteria for that of a top, modern HYPP N/N Appaloosa Halter Stallion
and Sire, with exceptional style, quality, color, class and charisma-and he does not carry the defective HYPP
gene, and therefor cannot pass it along to his get.  His HYPP N/N status, and pedigree of proven Halter
royalty provides The Secret Pardon with many positive attributes, created with a solid foundation of proven
Appaloosa excellence, to pass on to his foals.

The Secret Pardon is also especially desirable as an Appaloosa Sire because of his HYPP N/N genetic
status, highly sought after by breeders seeking to eradicate HYPP from their foals, while also adding
positive attributes to the Appaloosa gene pool. Following a remarkable show career, THE SECRET
PARDON is continuing forward as an elite Appaloosa stallion and sire.

As of this date, to the best of our knowledge, he's produced about -75-80% color.  With limited
breeding, he has sired Class Winners, Point Earners, Grand Champions & Reserves, National Champion
Top 5-Fillies, Colts & Geldings, Regional Weanling Futurity Champion & Reserves, Top 3 World
Champion Weanling Filly, & 2014 Reserve World Champion NP Weanling Filly.

In December 2014, a filly sired by The Secret Pardon won her Futurity in FL.

A limited number of Private Treaty Stud Fees may be considered for 2015. World & National
Champions, Producers of World & National Champions & Superior Halter horses, are among those
which may qualify for PT stud fees.

THE SECRET PARDON, aka "Diesel" is a distinctive HYPP N/N, Appaloosa stallion with a striking, vividly
colored Appaloosa coat pattern, with a well proven show record at the National level as a 5-X National
Champion Halter Stallion & Res. World Champion, and a on a one of a kind pedigree of pure, Proven Halter
Producing Royalty.  The Secret Pardon has many positive attributes to pass on to his offspring.

Adding to The Secret Pardon's desirability as an Appaloosa Sire is his HYPP N/N genetic status, now
becoming a highly sought after genetic attribute many breeders are seeking to alleviate any chance of
HYPP being passed to their foals. The Secret Pardon is one of a limited number of National and World
Champion Halter Stallions who are HYPP N/N.  Therefor The Secret Pardon cannot pass the gene along.

THE SECRET PARDON is an Appaloosa Breeders Trust stallion for 2013, 2014 and 2015.

The Secret Pardon is a producer of color, point earners, class winners, Grand Champions and Regional
Futurity Champions and Reserves.

The FROZEN SEMEN OF THE SECRET PARDON IS AVAILABLE FOR OVERSEAS SHIPPING PER DEMAND.

The cost to purchase the frozen semen of The Secret Pardon, which is for 2 straw doses, as determined by our SBS affiliate
in the USA, to be used for two cycles, with one to be used to inseminate the mare during ovulation as confirmed by
ultrasound, and the second straw dose to be used if the mare did not become pregnant following the first insemination
with frozen semen during the first monitored ovulation, as confirmed via the use of ultrasound technology.

Mare owners are responsible for following the insemination procedure as recommended by our SBS Affiliates who
collected and froze The Secret Pardon.

Mare owners are required to work with a qualified facility which uses ultrasound to accurately determine when a mare is
ovulating, so the frozen semen is used during the most optimal time of obtaining a pregnancy, which is either to use the
entire dose at ovulation, or to split the straw dose and use half and then the other half 6 hours post ovulation.

We request that ultrasound imaging, in still or video format, be saved and sent to us following the use of the frozen
semen, should a problem occur.

Mare owners on a global level can also breed to The Secret Pardon, via SBS affiliates using Certified Frozen Semen, which
is stored at Peterson & Smith Equine Reproduction, our USA SBS affiliate.

Please see the SBS web site and the information about breeding with Frozen Semen, Presently, The Secret Pardon's
Certified Frozen Semen is stored with an SBS Affiliate in the USA where it is to be handled and dispensed by the experts
in the field of Frozen Equine Semen, as determined by SBS, and approved by Laurie Rylander, stallion owner.

We retain the right to not sell frozen semen for use in mares who have been proven not to be good candidates for
becoming pregnant, including mares over the age of 17 years.

Contact Laurie Rylander via  email, or by phone at 508-896-6021, for additional information about The Secret Pardon's
frozen semen, for frozen semen purchase contracts, and for procedural protocols for using Frozen Semen, stored at an SBS
affiliate.

We strongly urge all who are considering the use of Frozen Equine Semen to learn all they can about what they are
considering purchasing, how it is tested, frozen and correctly used, which is vastly different from methods used to
inseminate with Cooled Semen. The SBS (Select Breeders Service) web site has a wealth of information on the topic in
their online Library which is well worth reviewing.

The Secret Pardon's 2015 Stud Fee is $950., and "Diesel" stands at Char-O-Lot Ranch where cooled semen is
collected and shipped under the expert, capable guidance of Sue Schembri, Stallion & Breeding Manager of
Char-O-Lot Ranch, which Sue and her family have owned for more than three decades.

Sue can provide breeding contracts and answer questions you may have about the breakdown of what the $950
stud fee includes, such as the $350. chute fee paid to Char-O-Lot Ranch as part of the $950.00 stud fee, etc.

Sue is an expert at breeding, and will do the best she can to help mare owners establish a plan to obtain optimal
conditions for their mares to be bred under, which may prove helpful in the long run when a pregnancy is
obtained.

Owners with mares with a history of being problematic breeders also have the option of having their mares bred
to The Secret Pardon at Char-O-Lot Ranch via AI and under the expert guidance of Sue Schembri. Sue's
management of so-called "problem" mares helps increase their chance of becoming pregnant. This can be
especially helpful is daily palpation and ultrasounds by a veterinarian or experienced professional are not
plausible, or possible. Some mares require more than average care to get in foal & Char-O-Lot Ranch provides the
useful service of breeding mares at their farm using AI, & decades of hand-on experience, with on-farm state of
the art lab, services, technology & ultrasound, with prompt results to blood work if needed, monitoring of
progesterone, other hormonal levels, and of course checking evidence of contagions.

Even problem mares can get in foal under optimal conditions.  At Charolot mares are assessed and a program
designed for individual mares, based on their history, labs and needs, to help increase her chances of becoming
pregnant. Once in foal mares are checked via ultrasound to re-confirmed a viable pregnancy at 45 days.   The
choice of having mares bred right at Charolot can be an especially productive choice for the owners of some
mares who may require more monitoring, via bloodwork and ultrasounds, prior to and after breeding, which is
one of the many services available to mare owners which Char-O-Lot Ranch offers. To book a breeding to The
Secret Pardon or inquire about having your mare shipped to Charolot contact
Sue Schembri, Stallion Manager,
who can even provide connections in hauling should your trailer be under feet of snow, as ours currently is.

As we have since 1979, at Sweetwater Farms we continue striving to remain dedicated to improving the Appaloosa gene
pool, and promoting the Appaloosa breed as a whole. We breed quality Appaloosa Horses with Color, Talent, Class, and
Charisma. Our foals are also bred to possess Physical Correctness and Genetic Soundness, which helps their extend
expiration dates, as serious contenders in the show arena, long past their 3 year old year, regardless of the discipline
they compete in.

Sweetwater Farms is owned by Jamie & Laurie Rylander, also owners of several Appaloosas and 3 Appaloosa stallions,
not the least of which is The Secret Pardon, a rare HYPP N/N, 5-X Appaloosa National Halter Champion & Reserve World
Champion Appaloosa Halter Stallion.  AKA "Diesel" this halter champion is now siring winning, colored foals via Cooled
Shipped Semen. Frozen Semen is stored at our SBS affiliate in the USA, and available for those outside the USA, subject
to our specific contract for the purchase and use of frozen semen certified for export.

At Sweetwater Farms, we personally believe there needs to be more open dialogue about breeding for HYPP N/N
Appaloosas, which many believe should be considered a high priority among informed breeders-and it is with us.
Selectively breeding for HYPP negative horses is the only known method proven to eradicate HYPP from all breeds
known to be affected by it, including the Appaloosa.

The Appaloosas we offer for sale include horses suited for a variety of events, and skill levels of riders. Show prospects
for sale often include well bred performance horses suited, which when brought along in the right hands can become
the ever elusive, high caliber All 'rounder, something the Appaloosa in particular is especially suited for. Broodmares in
foal to The Secret Pardon are occasionally offered for sale.
